I am currently media specialist of the Autism Society, the nation’s leading grassroots autism organization. In this position I serve as the organization’s liaison to the news media, coordinate the Autism Society – AMC Theatres program Sensory Friendly Films, and manage the organization’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Experience:
- Worked as a general assignment reporter for the Springfield Sun, a weekly newspaper that covers Springfield Township (Wyndmoor, Flourtown, Oreland and Erdenheim), a suburban community on the border of Philadelphia. I also cover Hatboro borough council for the Public Spirit/Willow Grove Guide. Both newspapers belong to Montgomery Media.

- Organized the Burke High School Film Festival, a film festival for high school students in the Washington, D.C. area.
- Freelance beat and community reporter for Montgomery Media in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania
- Reporting for “District Wire News,” and “ATV News” — two American University television news programs
- Worked for ABC’s “Nightline” on Inauguration Day
- Interned for re-election campaign of Pennsylvania State Representative Rick Taylor
- In Madrid, I interned for Hot English Magazine, a publication for native Spanish speakers learning English.
- Livestreamed the Suntrust National Marathon for NBC Washington
- Internship in the Millennium Radio New Jersey newsroom writing reports for New Jersey 101.5 and SOJO 104.9
- Wrote articles for the American Independent Writers Web site as a student intern
- Interned for the Women’s Institute for Freedom of the Press and was invited to join the organization’s international network of associates at the end of the internship
